Dr. Melvin Seligmans prescription for penic growth is for patients who have no other treatments, he said.
“I want to do everything that I can to get them to be healthy, to be productive, to help them manage their disease,” Dr. Seligmann said.
In fact, the medicine works so well, Dr. Melcher said, “that my son has become a real person” after the medication was used on him.
Penic growth treatment is used to treat growth problems such as scoliosis, and Hen growth medicine is used for growth in dogs and cats, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Dr. David Miller, a professor of veterinary medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles, said there are several different types of growth medicine available.
“There are growth hormone injections and growth hormone tablets,” Dr, Miller said.
Dr Miller said he has not used hen growth medicines, but said that the medication may work well for dogs that are allergic to the hormone.
Dr Selig mans work is backed by his foundation, the Dr. Henry Miller Foundation, which has raised more than $8 million.
In addition to the FDA, Dr Seligan’s work is supported by a $25 million grant from the U of C, according the foundation.
It’s not clear if Dr. Miller has a connection to Dr. Howard Miller, who was one of the first doctors to prescribe penic therapy.
In 1998, Dr Miller was awarded a Nobel Prize in Medicine for discovering the hormone treatment that can help with chronic disease, said Dr. Andrew Sacks, a clinical professor of psychiatry at Columbia University in New York.
Dr Sacks said the Dr Seligs work is not just about growth.
He said the medicine has helped him manage the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
“The results are very significant,” Dr Sack said.
